Each speech therapist in this department works
in his/her own separate office. For the most part work is done one-on-one
with students but there are times when a speech therapist goes into a
classroom to teach a group.
The Speech Department also offers instruction in Makaton to those students
who need an augmented communication system using sign language, pictures
and symbols. The office of the Makaton Teacher is in close proximity to
the C.P. Department.
