The Academic Program of Ideal Education School is for certain students with special needs. It strives for excellence and follows the present Canadian curriculum in Ontario for grades Kindergarten to Grade 7. Students in this program use the same course materials for English Language, Mathematics, Science, and Health as the Canadian students; Social Studies is taught from a Kuwaiti/Arabic perspective.

The department includes 4 classrooms, one for English Language Arts and Social Studies, one for Mathematics and Art, one for Science and Health, and one for Arabic and Quran. Students are not given an Individual Education Program (I.E.P.) for these subjects. Classes are in session from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. every day. The students move throughout the four classrooms according to their grade schedules. Those students who require therapy services, receive these services at the end of the school day.

The Academic Program is divided into three terms, each one ending with a percentage/letter grade report card. At the beginning of every week, homeroom teachers staple outlines into student communication books detailing what will be taught in each subject that week, and what daily homework assignments will be required.

After completion of grade 3 and grade 6, students in this program challenge the Canadian Standard Exams for Reading, Comprehension, Writing, Mathematics and Science (mandatory for all students in Canada). These are sent to Canada for marking.

Ideal Education School offers the following support services for those selected into the Academic Program:

 Small class sizes
 Excellent student-teacher ratio

Education Department

The emphasis of classes in this department is mainly on developing reading, writing, speech, attention, and cognitive skills to a level where students have a possibility of succeeding at an academic KG2 level. Each student follows an I.E.P. Classes include:

- students with hearing impairments - specialized teachers teach students communication, social, behavior, reading and writing skills using a universal Sign Language Program.
- students with physical disabilities - class teachers work very closely with occupational, physio, and speech therapists to develop fine motor, gross motor and speech skills; students exit more often for special services.
- students with other developmental delays - class teachers develop Behavior Modification Programs for students with Adhd, Add, and autism.
