Occupational Therapy Department

Occupational Therapists help the students learn the fine motor and gross motor skills necessary to succeed in doing their daily activities. They help not only to increase independence, but to enhance development and to add meaning to each student's life. The Occupational Therapist also does an I.E.P. for each student receiving occupational therapy.

The main goals of Occupational Therapy at Ideal Education School are:

-  To improve sensory, motor, cognitive, perceptual performance (the Occupational Therapists run the school's     Sensory     Integration Programs)
-  To enhance performance of functional activities involved in self care, play, and classroom work.
-  To increase self esteem and self actualization
